Stock with a camper shell for now.
So i went ahead and put a bilstien front shock and lifted the front to the highest it would go which was 2.5 inches and then but new wheels and went up a size from stock on the tires which is a 285/75 and i have noticed on the driver side when i am turned all the way right the tire rubs the upper control arm barely just enough to rub the paint off. is this a issue at all.

sounds like your wheels are not offset enough for the 285s. you can run wheel spacers to correct the problem or get new rims. or you can run a wheel adapter instead of wheel spacers.
until you decide to make a move i would just try not to cut your wheel all the way. and keep an eye on that tire because it may be rubbing when you are driving with your wheel straight when you hit a pot hole or bump in the road.

So the tire only rubs on the Upper control arm when turned all the way right . Passenger side tire doesn't rub at all, what do you guys recommend ? I have brand new rims and tires so I don't want to get rid of them. Tire size is 285/75-17

I've got SPC LR UCA's, OME 887's, Bilstein 5100 @ O, and 1" Bora spacers with 17" 4-runner alloys and 285/70/17 KO2's. I still rub. Trimmy, trimmy (and maybe even choppy, choppy) or live with it. I'm living with it for now. Good luck.
