I've gotten onto the overland bandwagon with my 2006 4x4 Sport Tacoma. Hitting trails and enjoying new adventures, often with some dogs in tow. Build has been steadily moving along this past year

    Any feedback is appreciated

It's been a year and here's some photos of what has happened so far:

Waiting for the Pelfreybilt sliders and rear hi-clearance bumper to come in. Need to reroute the exhaust so the last skid plate can go on. A rooftop tent would be nice, but for now a regular old Coleman works just fine :)

Thanks! I'm torn between which one. Either a bed rack over a soft top or a hard shell. I think a bed rack over a soft top should be lighter but also like the security a hard shell gives plus no worrying about the canvas on a soft top.

Decisions decisions  which one would you go with?

I had a custom built bed rack for a while and liked it a lot. But I found a good deal on a shell and I gotta say I'll never go back. Perfect for keeping thing locked and secure and my dogs love being in the bed during trips. I put a prinsu toprac on it to mount the RTT or cargo carrier which is nice.

The soft shell with wrap around rack is probably the way I'd go if I didn't need to securely lock things. But then again you could always cable lock things up. Hope that helps

Do you like the total chaos kit? I just broke a torsion bar (again) and getting tired of them. And thinking about dropping the cash and putting them under my 93 yota and using a dual rate coilover. Any pros or cons with the long wheel travel kit?

I'm sorry to hear that! I'm happy with it, only cons to me are is it's a bit wider so on trails that's something to consider. There's also some sway but there's no swaybar so something else to think about when driving on the street. Other than that, it's been great. Absorbs a lot and worth the cost to me
