I've only had my 2016 Tacoma for a few days. I have yet to figure out how to "turn off" the NAV system once I start it up. I've read the manual a few times, too. Where is the danged "OFF" switch...what do I have to do specifically tp shut it down?

    Thanks!

Hit Dest. at the bottom of the screen and then Delete Dest. Might be another way but that stops it.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by turning it off.

I don't think you can turn the navigation off. Just change the display to not show it and instead show the radio, cd or usb only.....or the Eco, which shows the gas mileage.

There are several combinations of what you can display...

Or you can also turn off the screen altogether and download a image to show instead when the screen is off.

Ahh, but what if you want to save that destination to use it again? Thanks, by the way. :)

Press the voice command button and after it finishes saying "how can I help you" say "End navigation" in a slow clear voice

    Works every Time

To get the navigation display off your "home display", change the settings to not include the map

It'll be in the recents. You can select it from there or save it.
