Didn't happen while driving. I've dealt with stuff like this before and like others have said, AAA covered it under comprehensive. Insurance didn't go up, and no accident on carfax

if it is bolt on fender you could buy one and have it painted and install yourself

I work for a very large insurance company, and I'm not an agent, I work with claims. This is not a comp claim, it would be collision. Though you wouldn't be at fault. Your rates may or may not go up.

I agree...It happened to me...insurance took care of it, and premiums never went up, Nationwide was on my side....

Looks like a front fender? With a $500 deductible it isn't worth it to claim insurance.

May also be beneficial to keep the repair off the books.

Just about the same thing happened to me. Got estimate through USAA @ $1,500 to replace/paint/blend fender.

call the cops, report a hit & run, get a accident report number, file a claim with your insurance, pay the $500, it shouldn't go against your record since it was a h & r. = Don't wait too long, I'm sure there's a time limit = I would guess a good shop will cost $1500 - 2000

Looking to trade out my stock fenders on my black 2013 for some fiberglass oversized fenders. I should have the new fenders in by Next week, let me know if your interested.
