There was a thread with pictures of stock trucks with more rugged looking tires,no lift kits or anything. I tried searching every keyword but no avail. I want to get rid of the crappy stock tires but leave the stock suspension the way it is. Thanks in advance.

Not a mud tire but a pretty aggressive A/T tire - Cooper AT/3's in 265/75R16 on a stock set up. No rub. I am replacing the front mud flaps and I still don't think they will rub. If they do it will be a negligible amount.

That wasnt installed price. The cheapest I found online was $128 per tire at discount tire direct.com. So $512 online vs $490 at Dealership. Your right, not a deal. I also got Nitro instead of air for $30 since I bought tires there, otherwise they charge $60 for Nitro. I never looked anywhere else to see what's the normal price for Nitro. I've also called around tire shops in my area & they Jack up the install prices, if you buy your tires elsewhere & bring them in. Is there a better way to save some money the next time I need tires? Always open for suggestions.

Yea it's tough to find a place that does good work and is reasonable for tire installs. I have a local guy that doesn't sell em but just installs for like 60 so I always buy online and go through him.

Lucky you, I'm still looking for a local guy that does good work. Thanks to this forum, I'm learning to do more & more of the smaller things myself.
