that would have been the smart thing to do. and also cut the runtime of this episode down, saving production costs. but trevor can't die!

 

Andrew Lincoln did an interview. When asked if he knew (or if any of the cast knew) who Negan killed he said they all made a pact on set to not discuss. They clearly know. I doubt it makes it to October before someone spoils it

 

Lets hope so. I wanna make a Ramones montage of the scene.

 

I'm with Gooch14 in i believe it was Eugene who got to meet Lucille. Unfortunately we know it wasn't Carl which let's be honest, deserves the shit beat out of him more than anyone. That "kid" wants to act like he's all grown up but won't lose that hat for the love of GOD and cut that hair!! It could be Abraham because he was just starting to soften up a little which is the perfect time to off someone.

 

Is no one really going to break down the scene and figure this out?

I'd like to see Negan eventually not killed but get run off, so it's always possible he could pop up again

Welp..That was pretty hopeless...Started off pretty easy to follow on the eenie meenie minie game.

He started at Rick and went to his (negan's) left. 'Eenie' - Rick 'Meenie' - Maggie 'Minie' - Abe 'Moe' - Michonne 'Catch' - he stood at both Rosita and Glenn then 'A Tiger' was back at Daryl then he walked back past Rick while saying 'by his toe' and pointed to Sasha with 'If' Aaron got 'he hollers' and he paused on Carl for 'Let him go, my mother told me.' Thats when it started jumping from person to person with a bat in their face, some had words said some didn't. This was clearly to throw us off. He sort of had a pattern going. So he said 'To pick the very best one and you are it'. That gets him back to the other side of the group where both Daryl and Glenn are, technically Abe is over there too, but doesn't really fit the pattern.

All he says after the first hit is 'Taking it like a champ' He doesn't say 'He is' or 'She is' so no clue on gender there. Right before he starts swinging when he says 'you can breath, you can cry' he looks left and he looks right as he is saying it. If he was at the very end where Glenn was he probably wouldn't look left since the only people over there were the Saviors. So if you judge by that it was Daryl or Abe (because I am guessing it wasn't a woman, just a hunch).

I still think it's Glenn but breaking down the video really tries to sway the opinion elsewhere...

I don't know where the theory about hearing someone say 'Mag...' or what they thought was the name 'Maggie' while being beaten came from. The only thing you can hear is Negan and head smashing...

 

I think it has to be a major character like Glenn or Daryl. Abe or Eugene just won't have the same impact.

 

That is how I feel too. That leaves Daryl if you read into the left/right movement of Negan right before he swings. I still think it's Glenn but I did my part for the conspiracy theorist out there...

 

Idk I feel like its Glenn's time. However, if Daryl is going to die, this is a pretty good way to end it. I mean you can't just let Daryl Dixon get bitten or shot, it's gotta be hardcore.

At 7:27 just after Negen says "Oh" you can hear the victim grunting. It sounds a lot like Glenn.

 

I sat and watched it numerous times last night and IF the directing and camera angles were correct it appears to be Eugene that gets clubbed...the scene right before Negan picks the guy, Negan's shadow falls on Ricks face moving to Ricks left...past Carl to the only person left at the end which is Eugene. Theres also one scene where they have Eugene just a little bit further away from everyone else. When Negan is playing eenie meenie miney moe it skips around a lot but for the most part he appears to follow a sequence. And the final steps are taken to Negans Right...to face Eugene...

 

Nice screenshot of the lineup....look at ole Abe kneeing up straight and tall...take out the biggest to prove your point is a sound tactic...

 

Yeah he did approach from the right of the person chosen, but there were also some bad timing from his walking earlier in the scene. He would be walking and talking and it would cut to Rick's face close up and then back to Negan and he had magically floated to the other side of the group to walk by Rick again. There was a lot of smoke screen to throw off the trail. Going to be a long 7 months..

 

lol yep. I liked when Negan walked over to him and Abe bowed up to him. He may take him out, just because there isn't room enough on screen for 2 dudes with witty one-liners. When Negan felt his beard and said 'Shit I need to shave this' it was like passing of the torch...

It was Eugene he gave rick the secret recipe......That way they still can make bullets.....Its a classic move to keep the story moving after a character dies.

 

yeah I noticed that too...it skipped around but for the last scene right before Negans pick the shadow and his steps towards the person he picked go towards Eugene...I think his mullet saves him...
