@zadeer Welcome! There is a pretty large Toyota crowd in the KC area called the Tornado Alley Cruisers. We own primarily Land Cruisers but have members covering the whole Toyota line up. We often have build days and welcome Toyota enthusiasts of any model. The are a couple of us with multi-bay garages in the Lenexa area that host build days as well as in SE KC. TAC members primarily hang out online here - http://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/ks-mo-tornado-alley-cruisers.53/

If anybody in the KC and surrounding area is interested in meeting the TAC family, we are having our annual meeting on Sat April 23rd from about 11 AM till ? at a TAC members property near 203rd and Holmes. A pot luck lunch will start around noon with our business meeting at approximately 1 PM for about an hour followed by general tire kicking, socializing, etc. We are a family friendly group that enjoys wheeling, wrenching, camping, etc.. Many of us do partake of the adult beverages so long as you know when to say when.

More information can be found here - http://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2016-meeting-round-2.907522/
We may start a new thread on IH8Mud regarding who is bringing what for the pot luck.

If you are interested in attending you can reply or PM me here on TacomaWorld and I will relay a head count to TAC or if you are a IH8Mud member post up in the threads over there.

I don't Facebook so if anyone wants to cross post TAC Meeting info there please feel free to do so.

The hot topic at the meeting will be a new location for our Fall Event in Sept. I have spent the last couple of weeks crisscrossing the Ozarks to find a great place with something for everyone in regards to wheeling, big enough to not feel crowded on the trails, good camping facilities and a large gathering space for our banquet/raffle dinner. My videographer should have a great presentation put together in a couple days.

After the run through at the meeting and everything is finalized I will take the presentation on the road for meeting with any other clubs that might be interested in attending our event.

Just a quick heads up on the place where most of the TAC group hangs out online is here:
    http://forum.ih8mud.com/forums/ks-mo-tornado-alley-cruisers.53/

We are a non-discriminatory Toyota club covering any model of Toyota vehicle. Primarily the group is split between the 1963-2007 Land Cruisers but there are also 1st and 2nd and 3rd Gen 4Runners, Mini-Trucks, Tacomas, FJC Cruisers, FJ55 Pigs, FJ45's, etc.... We even have a couple members with Samarai's, Jeeps, and Truggies.

Anyone that is up for an impromptu wheeling trip, please give me a call. My work schedule is very flexible and I can usually get away at a moments notice. NineOneThree-558-2OneOneFour.

Would anyone want to hit Kansas Rocks over Memorial Weekend? I plan on driving to KC on Saturday the 28th for a Royals game, then heading out of KC on Sunday the 29th to the Park. They offer camping in the park over night for Memorial Weekend. Was going to wheel the 29th, camp that night, wheel some in the morning and head back to Omaha around early afternoon. I really hate to go at it alone.

I have a group of 4 or 5 FZJ80's that will be heading down early to run the Arkansas High Water Mark Trail the following weekend. This could be a great start to an awesome trip! I will notify the rest of the group and see what shakes out.

    nothing cool
Anyone in the KC area looking for a black OEM rear bumper? ( it is NOT the sport color matched style ). Figured I'd start with ya'll before I go to Craigslist.
Black, all plastic parts and hitch included.

Not included: license plate lights and the harness thing that holds the wire into the bumper. Also, the mounting bolts not included because I need them to put my chrome one back on. PM me foto any details.
$300 for both bumper and hitch

@J Rod Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up at KS Rocks over Memorial Day weekend.

My group decided last minute to roll on down to SMORR for better wheeling and camping facilities based upon how wet it was. On Monday we checked the radar at lunch time and broke down camp in 20 minutes to roll out to Byrds in Arkansas. Rain started 1 mile out of SMORR. Arkansas was wonderful! 2 days at Byrds floating and wheeling then rolled out on to the High Water Mark Trail.

For anyone interested some pictures and lots of links to Google drive pictures from our group can be found starting about half way down this page on IH8MUD thru page 15. http://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/arkansas-overland-trip.897335/page-13

I didn't get a chance to go. I really wish I had gone, saw the pictures from the KC thread on FJcruiserforums.com and looked like a killer time. Ran into some problems with my rig and after the basement flooded, I ran out of time and money to get it fixed in time. Few other guys rolled to SMORR that weekend too. Guys from the Good Times 4 Wheelers club.

Pssst...hey...it's me. That Nissan guy from a while back. What's up guys. Why no post since June? So I just joined the group on Facebook. Still doing Wed nights? Can't tomorrow because of work but the next 3 I could. I've done some mods to my rig since. Got the winch bumper mounted, mounted the winch, wired it up, wired KC's on the front bumper, wired up my CB with dual Firesticks. I'm all set for the trail! Keep in mind this is my DD so I'd like to keep the jumps under 2 feet. JK. I've got a baby on the way...due 9/30. I need to get some wheeling in before then, man. Any takers?

Hey John, Awesome upgrades! There's a post in the FB group for this Crawl but I don't know how many are going. I don't think we've had a meetup in quite awhile
