I was under the impression intakes don't do anything to these trucks...

 

other than sound... and perhaps some gains at higher rpms... (and i say perhaps cautiously) you're right

 

anyone running one yet?

 

I had one on my 07 and it made a big difference,Throttle response vastly improved!

 

How would would anyone run a yet to be released intake?

And notice they don't show any dyno info pertaining to performance improvements.

 

Interesting, but since I have the 4cyl guess I won't be getting it. I ran one of their reusable air filters in my 2013 and swapped it into my new 2016 when I traded it in. I did notice a bit better acceleration at higher speeds when I put it in the 2013. And it's reusable which is great. Saves money in the long run.

Seriously not trolling you. But how so? A lot of factory units are built with emissions in mind. Which is normally against what we want.

I've yet to see a gain on a non-performance application. In fact, the tech next to me just pulled a Banks CAI off a silverado due to improper electronic throttle actuator. They are designed to work with a set amount of airflow, you change that and things go wonky.

My G8 has an aftermarket intake due to the fact that OE is 3" tube and aftermarket is 4". And it has a full tune and nothing on the engine is stock.
