    Hello all,

I'm very new to Tacomas (test drove about 3 of them...lol), and new to trucks in general. I owned all sedans until my most recent vehicle which was a 2001 BMW X5 4.4. Selling that to my sister and buying a Tacoma this week!

I'm active duty Air Force, a 5 year Capt with 1000 hrs in an F-15E as a back seater (WSO), and now I'm in Pilot training to hopefully become an F-35 pilot, only time will tell for that.

I'm looking at sealing the deal on a 2016 Tacoma TRD off road, black/black (with orange stitching) pretty much fully loaded with the premium tech package, tow package, bed light, predator boards, mud guards, and the enhanced connectivity package.

Before settling on the Tacoma I test drove Silverados, Colorado Trail Boss, F-150's, the Raptor, and the Dodge RAM Rebel. Of all those trucks, the Colorado Trail boss came the closest to the Tacoma in terms of what I was looking for and price. But the Tacoma won me over with it's nice big 7" screen and the off road capability/clearance (The Chevy just didn't look like it could climb anything comparatively), and the reliability/resale value. Also I owned a Lexus IS-300 in the past (Toyota engine) and never had a single reliability issue ever. Also all my friends just loved the Tacomas!

I'm excited to join this type of community, as I was an IS-300 and M3 owner in the past and loved being an active part of the online forums and DIY type mods. Looking to have fun with this truck once I get it! I will post pics one the sale is completed and I get the keys!

    Congrats and welcome!

When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a fighter pilot and flying the F35 someday...you could say I'm really jealous right now lol.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Sometimes I imagine my Tacoma is a space ship... Welcome aboard!

Sometimes I pretend the e-brake handle is the controller for my front mounted, 30mm rotary cannon whenever someone pisses me off on the road.
