I took my 2016 in for 10K mile service and asked that they check the transmission fluid level because of slipping, hard shifts and a small driveline vibration between 15 and 25 MPH. The shop foreman did a test drive while I rode and stated he "hadn't heard of any problems" then said "you can't believe everything you read on the Internet, I read Elvis was alive". He did however confirm that he felt the vibration in the driveline. After much discussion and much reluctance he agreed to check the transmission fluid level. He also checked for any TSB's related to the matter and found one regarding ECU software. Before taking the truck back he reconfirmed that he had not heard of any issues with low transmission fluid. After a few hours to let the transmission cool he came back and stated it was about a half a quart low and that my software was up to date and the TSB did not apply. He test drove it and was able to notice a difference and absence of vibration. I drove it home, about 15 miles and WOW! what a difference half a quart makes. I will say there is a "slight" vibration left but he stated that will probably work itself out in a week as things circulate and do his credit, it was almost absent when I got home.

On a sidenote, he was much nicer and much more agreeable once he realized it was low on fluid as I claimed.

I'm going to regardless since I got in some mud the other day but the vibration is gone now. I wrote that last night, posted today and have since driven the truck.

Same here. My service department also never heard of any problems with the transmission and informed me that the forums on the internet are full of lies and made up stories.

I was prepared to show him the transmission thread on here as a last resort. If he wasn't going to do it. At the end of the day we ended up talking shop. He has a trail ready 4Runner and I'm building mine as an overland rig.

The customer is always right... except at auto dealerships, so it seems. Glad to hear your truck is driving better, OP.

it's 2016, you have to be a complete moron to still think like that and use
it as and excuse not to do your job. I would have told him, no shit, people
lie all the time, where they lie doesn't change the fact that there are legitimate
issues and concerns. If he was over 80 years old, I'd cut him some slack on it
otherwise he's just another moron ignoring an issue a concerned customer
    brought to his attention.
