I was going up a ramp today in a parking garage, and once I was up midway, I let go of the gas and my truck slowed down and eventually rolled backwards. I then pressed on the accelerator to continue forward and a grinding sound came from under the steering wheel/front of the car as the traction control light was flickering.

Was that just the sound the traction control makes, or is it something I should worry about?

I am new here, and thank you!

It's normal, all working as should.

All normal, it is just oddly loud. One of the loudest of any truck I've ever driven.

Normally not one to pump Dodge's tires, but their traction control on the 1500s I have driven is excellent. You can hardly notice it.
