I'm nervous about doing this but I think it's time. I bought the truck at 80k and now i'm around 115k, unsure of what maintenance was done prior to me buying it. My last oil change I noticed the belt is about due for replacing so I figure I should tackle it all at once. Thank you for all of this info!

Anyone have pointers on relieving the tension in the belt to get it off? I've taken the fan and shroud out, just can't get much action from what I believe is the tensioner arm. Not sure how to tackle it...
Am I just pushing down or am I trying to turn it? My truck is in pieces and awaits some pointers! Thanks!

Edit: Ended up going to the auto store and renting the tension relief bar and worked like a charm! Turns out I just needed the right tools.

Life and hot temperatures have kept me from changing the snout oil, but I got around to it today. I probably only sucked about 2 ounces out! Tried and tried to find more in there but I guess that's all I had.

Would have been a quick little task except I dropped the hex into the abyss and it took me a least 30 minutes of feeling around before I found it.

Perhaps an ignorant question, but when you put a smaller pulley on the charger and increase the number of revolutions per mile it gets essentially. Should maintenance be preformed proportionally earlier? ex- stock pulley = 3.0 smaller pulley = 2.55 or 15% smaller so should maintenance be performed 15% sooner as well in this case?
