    Hello:
My name is Bob but I use race car bob from my days as a oval track dirt/asphalt racer and in the 60 and early seventies a NHRA BGas drag racer.
I am 79 years old and have owned 5 New Toyota Camrys but the 2016 Tacoma TRD 4x4 off road is my first toyota truck.
Purchased the truck in October of last year and so far am pleased with it except for a few minor gripes.

    Welcome Bob,

Very impressive portfolio you have there. Never raced anything myself, but a definite fan of the sport.

I've never had a vehicle without a few minor gripes about it, so just enjoy all the great things about it! :)

Welcome Bob! There are a few other oldsters hanging out here, but you may be close to the top of the pack!

Just for conversation purposes, I owned GTO #104, crewed on a '69 Judge that was the E/S ET record holder for a brief period, occasionally shoed a E/SA Judge locally for a friend, and did a few years of Solo II in my older years. My introduction to wheeling was in a '68 IH Travelall I6 4 spd with manual hubs, 4H/4L and a PTO while working as a cross country land surveyor. Thousands of off road miles and stuck enough to learn how to be a better driver!

BTW, for some of you kids who make fun of us oldies and computers. My 95 yo uncle sends me coherent emails, with attachments. Remember who started the internet, PCs, laptops, etc.? The folks you are calling old. Just hope your generation can come up with something more revolutionary than cheap music, phone cameras and dime-a-dozen apps. :p

Nah. I get it that there are lots of trinkets like that. Cool. Functional. Useful. But one could argue those are pretty much all enhancements/modifications to base technology.

The biggest deal going is still more power, smaller size, lower cost. Along with applications that are beneficial to the human race. Like having a surgeon monitor a process on a patient on the other side of the world. Bluetooth adjustable pacemakers, etc. All good things, useful, even needed.

And yes, lots of this stuff are money makers.

But where's the revolutionary disruption? That's what I want to see youngsters thrashing. Not gaming, streaming, hacking, but actual creativity that puts the tech world upside down.
