I'm wondering if there's a way to re-mount the OEM weatherstripping on the roof channels? I'm asking because I added the OEM roof rack, and part of the install requires breaking the clips that hold the weatherstripping in order to properly mount the roof rack. I want to remove the rack and go back to the weatherstripping. Thanks!

I bought my roof rack from a local guy that didn't want it on his 3rd Gen, i took off his roof rack and installed my oem weather stripping, all i did on his is covered the threaded holes with some Permatex Ultra Grey and used double sided tape on the back of the cab where the stripping curves and also in the front ontop of the windshield because that's where the clips were on mine.

    Hopefully this info helps!

You can buy the OEM clips at the dealer pretty cheap and then glue them in place like the originals. The ditch molding (roof trim) snaps into them and holds pretty well. I also added some 3M emblem tape to help keep it all snug.
