larger living area.. more electricity to cool it down.. water bill.. gas.. etc.

We pay about $65 for water, gas is about $30, electric runs anywhere from $60 in the winter to the $200's in the summer. plus your tv and internet of your choice.

    holy balls.. lol

yeah.. and you can get even better service obviously with more $$

When we first signed up.. we were paying 30 bucks for our internet.. the promo period expired and it went back to standard pricing. I talked to a rep though, and whenever they have promo's, you can call and get that pricing. need to do it again myself..

also.. a coworker and friend of mine moved from Clemson out here.. he likes it a lot.

Escrow is basically a savings account thru the mortgage company that they pay the property tax and home insurance from each year. You pay in a portion each month on top of the mortgage payment. It is semi-optional, but you have to cover those $1000 bills when they come due.

PMI is Mortgage Insurance. If you don't have enough equity versus the loan, the mortgage company requires it. It is typically at 80% loan to asset ratio, hence the old-school desire for 20% down.

My bills have been similar to @Moose1988 as a single guy in a similar sized house. Probably closer to 40 for water, 30 for gas, 50-150 for electric, 80 for Cox Internet.

Single story is a big electric savings versus 2 story out here.

But not always true just have to have the right upgrades, our house is a 2 story but also has a new roof, air conditioner, and new Windows, our average bill in the peak of summer with a pool is 150-220 was our top, his last month was $75. Water is about the same at $60-65 because of topping off the pool and sprinklers. But yah stairs suck especially after a good leg day at the gym.

So my fellow AZ'ers I am making preparations...

I expect to move out that way in the next 2-3 months.

Still job searching for something that i can sit in for awhile for experience and then move up the ladder or move latterally somewhere else. It just depends. That being said, anyone know a good spot to start off at?

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
USAA has a big office in N Phx. Seeing as they're military friendly, I'd start there.
