I have owned my new double cab manual TRD Manual Sport since December/White and I can report some issues. My tachometer stutters when the RPMs drop when it's cold figured I would wait to see if it breaks in or take in before the 36000 mark. The hazard button gets bumped every so often when reaching to switch the fan on/off/poor location. The info connectivity is flaky for the iPhone have not been able to try a android phone. They have done away with the conventional oil filter/takes a extra 10 minutes to deal with it. The all new 3.5 is actually not all new but instead they have reduced the cost of the truck by sharing the Lexus IS250 3.5 this has the same oil filter. I am sure they are sharing it in more than in these vehicles. The motor also requires higher RPMs for more output and the VVT makes acceleration slow until the RPMs hit 3000 and then the computer decides to advance the timing make the motor feel like it wants to stutter. This will reduce the life of the motor over time so I do believe that if owners neglect the motor it will not take the abuse that the 4 liter would. I truly wanted a 2015 but they wanted the same price as the new ones. Terrible having black interior stupid choice on my part but there were very few options since finding exactly the manual TRD sport was nearly impossible. If you want to order one you give up your negotiation on price with the dealership this is why I did not do this. Truck does ride very quiet and does have get up and go but I did drive a automatic and it made the truck feel flat. I do love having the manual it gives me on demand get up without waiting for the transmission to decide what gear to go with. I also change the transmission fluid at 5000 miles and rear diff lots of shavings on the rear diff magnet replace fluid with valvoline synthetic 75w90 and the truck shifts better and it softened the sound of the drivetrain. Will do transfer and front diff when there are more miles.

Have you had any issues with the shifter getting stuck in gear when driving for extended periods? Just curious if the fluid change could help that.

You can still negotiate price on an order. I know I had no issues negotiating down the price on a truck that was ordered to my spec. If the dealer wants to sell vehicles they will get you what you want and negotiate with you. I know in CA this does not seem to be the case but here in the Southeast it wasn't an issue.

How many quarts go in the transfer case?

I think I read 2 in gear box, 3 in rear diff, and less than three in front. I wish there was one page to go for capacity/type of fluid on the 3rd gens (beside calling dealer), but I have not found. :notsure:
