Where is the extra "1 inch from factory" lift coming from?

So if you have done a little homework on the 2016, for a lack of better way to explain it, you will notice it is lifted 1 inch already from the factory over the gen2.

Where is the lift coming from? Longer spring, did they preload it with a trim/spacer? I see everyone claim it as a fact, not that I disagree or anything, just wondering where it is coming from.

 

I've read the springs are heavier and thus less compression.

Third gen comes with a stiffer spring constant.
