    The rear / tailgate camera has 4 leads. I've attached a section of the manual which describes them. I don't know what the connection scheme for one on eBay has. It may be a USB lead to attach to a tablet or other device for power, etc. There have been posts about another mod to allow any time use of the back camera. It might be possible to combine that with a switch to operate either the front or back camera.

    One other possibility would be to order another tailgate camera and mount it in the front. That way the leads are guaranteed to be identical. Then, use the "always on" mod with a switch between front or rear camera.
