So I recently moved down south to the CA desert. It gets hot down here, and I wondering what I can do to protect my truck and not let it get damaged by the elements. I dont have a garage so it will be sitting in the apartment parking lot all summer :-( I have the windows tinted already. Thinking about a nice truck cover and sun visor for the windshield, and maybe throw some towels over the tires?? Any input or advice guys??

303 Aerospace Protectant on your plastic trim, weather stripping. Reapply weekly or after it rains. Tires don't need anything as long as you drive daily.

And yeah keeping sunlight out of the interior will preserve things.

You could also get a car cover to use if/when you don't drive for a few days, or go through the hassle of using it daily..

Coming from someone that lived in 120 degree weather in SoCal, the big thing you're gonna have to worry about is the paint. It will quickly fade and oxidize and peel if you don't take care of it monthly or bi-monthly. I wouldn't worry about the tires as long as you daily drive it. On the bright side, you don't have to worry about rust now. Good luck.

    All of the above.

You will also come to discover that the value of a parking space is now based on amount of shade, and not proximity to the door.

Car covers pain in the ars. If you got wind there the cover just sands the paint. Window tint and dash mat.

Was in Holtville for a few years. I still miss everyone. Loved the small town big community feel.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Aerospace 303 protectant a nice clean interior. It'll seal it up against UV.

Aside from that: park in the shade and get a windshield shade. Heat kills, period.
