You need adjustability out of a shackle flip. Because every spring pack and every shackle length will need a different length. Otherwise you completely mess up the spring rate or sacrifice droop.

Only the ATO allows for that much adjustability. After all there still wouldn't be a shackle flip developed if it weren't for ATO. The original owner is who did the research way back when to create, test and build one. Now it seems everyone else is trying to copy his design yet make changes so they aren't direct blatant copies. However, the changes are always to one of the most integral aspects.

Sure you can go with a fixed non adjustable style. But you better do your research and know exactlywhat pack you want and exactly where to mount with exactly what shackle. One messed up measurement and it all goes to shit.

Guys. I have a problem with me truck, Yesterday I found some oil on the ground under the rearend. I looked under the truck and on the front of the diff from about halfway to the bottom where the bolts are is wet with oil. What does that mean and how did I repair it? To me it llooks like it just the gasket around the front of the housing.

It could be the gasket on the third, not hard to fix. But sometimes oil leaks from the drain plug and makes it look like you have a leak from the front. I would check the oil level, then clean the diff and watch to see where it's coming from. Or you can just replace the gasket and be done with it.

Thanks, I'll check it out close after the rain has past. After I figure out where it's leaking I might take you up on your offer.
