any 285/75R16 tire is going to rub regardless of lift (drop bracket not included in this). Plan on tons of inner fender chopping, pinch weld flattening, cab mount chopping for 285's not to rub.

I have the same tires/wheel combo on my truck. I added 1.25" spidertraxx wheel spacers. They don't rub the UCAs and rub the fender when I'm off-roading. For normal driving, it's fine.

I have an OME 3 " lift with 285's and Wheelers off-road rims. No trimming and no rubbing. Still have the front mud flaps on and didn't rub even while driving up to the top of Engineer Pass in the Rockies.

I'm sure it's the rims but no rubbing on the front mudflaps really surprised me. Even up to Engineer Pass, which was rough! Lots of 180 turns.
