    I was planning on it. Despite my honesty in the beginning she could have made this much more difficult and waited on the "exotic" part from Buick that could have cost who knows what to replace. I told her I was very appreciative of her willingness to be flexible.

    Boy you were lucky she accepted the $500 offer. She had no incentive to keep it off YOUR insurance and probably rightfully should have asked for the full 1200 whether it comes from your insurance or your wallet.
