Most dealerships here play games. Like refusing to answer simple questions like "what are all your fees". Price means nothing if they add $950 to $1500 on top.

I always start with email and if they answer my questions, I move to phone (I call them) and finally on site.

There must be a lot of un-savvy people around here because 2 of my last 3 cars were from out of town dealers.

My local dealers would be forced to change tactics if they didn't have easy marks.

am i crazy for leasing with the intent to buy? i just can't swing a $600+ payment on a new truck. BUT i can swing a $340 payment on a new truck for 9 years. i may be an idiot, but from what I've read, I'm only paying an extra $1500 to tack on 3 more years to pay for my truck. am i missing anything? also, the warrantee will last longer as well, no? salesmen gave me invoice (for lease) on trd OR AC with a lease buyout of $23,000.

If you can't afford the payments don't do it. Life happens and you'll put yourself in a bad spot.

i can easily afford the $340 payment for 9 years. probably put down another big knot when it comes time to buy out the lease. just wondering if I'm missing anything? seems to me that its only going to cost an extra $1500 in the long run.
