South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

I'll try and make it a mini subject in my build thread prob

 

1st thing is allot more Sport out there so will deal more. 2nd is I will be doing a mild lift soon after I get it so shocks and front springs will be changed anyway. 3rd is the matching fender flares, on the blue it is not as bad but on the white I don't like them. That is just my opinion and I know some like the contrast but I really don't, want the damn locker thou. Being so new off roading will be more mild for awhile. Believe me I am still asking myself the same thing, lol.

 

Yeah, appearance vs e-locker. I bought my truck used and got a hell of a deal on a super clean one owner Sport which left money from the budget to still get ARB lockers (looking for the time to get them installed)...this is why I went the way I did even though I was on the hunt for an Off Road.

 

Same damn thing here, there is probably 20 Sports up here to every one OR and when you throw MT in the mix they are both hard to find. I really did study the MSRP and invoice numbers before I went back and the were so close to invoice I couldn't believe it. Then I told them I wanted to trade in the Tahoe and what they offered me was way more than I thought they would.

 

I did the same but with an SR5, though I wasn't looking at the offroad in particular. Now it's an SR5 Off Road Battleship

 

Locker > Any cosmetic mod... lol you can add color matched stuff pretty easily. Adding a locker will be really expensive

 

Yeah, every time I see a 4x4 SR5 I kick myself a little just because I never considered them. Was stuck on an OR until I saw mine. Could've saved quite a bit more if I would've taken the blinders off.

 

Totally forgot about that feature.. this site is gettin' fancier

got my NC combined registration and tax notice today, YAY Blah

$367.44, $67 is registration, balance is tax. appraised value on my truck is $24,190.00. I think its worth more, but I am ok with that for tax purposes

 

man, I got over 4 pages of "watched" or Sub'd threads lol, I think 50 per page or something........

 

WTF.. im paying over 250$ for my 2005... fucking hell.

I am sure NC gets theres one way or another, usually balances out between sales tax, property tax, income tax, blah blah

I agree with you but the way I am looking at what I am saving on the Sport compared to the OR already helps pay for an ARB rear locker which is better than the OR one. Plus being as new as it will be NO NO NO severe offroading for a little while. Add in the cost of getting a new set of smooth flares and painted the right way kinda offsets it. Big thing is they are dealing allot more on the Sports.
