I just wanted to throw this out there as a cautionary tale for anyone in the market for a new engine. Last October I had a spark plug come apart on cylinder 3. The diode rattled around in the cylinder and what was left of the plug blew out taking the threads with it. Since this is my work truck/DD, I couldn't afford to have the truck down for long so I opted to buy a used engine from JDM. It seemed the lesser of the evils at the time. Fast forward 5 months and ~8k miles the heads seize on the JDM engine for unknown reasons.
At this point I want to be very clear that JDM only offers a 3 month warranty and I knew that going in. My complaint is that they wouldn't stand by their product even though it was barely out of there warranty period.
Anyone reading this can take away whatever they like, I just want to give fair warning that you have way of knowing what you're actually getting from JDM.
