Ive got the coilovers in the cart and I'm getting mixed signals on buying UCA's to add to it as well. Some say with anything over 2" of lift you should get them but others say anything under 3" is fine. HELP!!!!

I wouldn't buy them just yet. I have a 2.25" lift with 5100's and didn't need them. What coils are you going to be using? If they're standard diameter you should have no binding issues. 2.5 inches is the Grey area of needing them or not. Having them would give you more caster adjustability though.

I would guess yes. My reasoning is this.... You have an Access Cab. The listed lift height is an "average" height. Basically, it's the lift that a 4.0 Double Cab can expect to get. For example, I got 2.5 inches of lift on my Access Cab with my 5100s set at 1.75.

I have stock UCAs and my truck drives fine - not great. If I had offset rims and/ or wider tires, I'd have a bunch of wandering and bump steer. I experienced this before going to 255s on stock rims. Your experience will likely not vary.

I do have mickey Thompson sidebiter wheels. I'm not sure the offset but there is some. so I guess Ill just go ahead and get a set of the total chaos UCA's as well, I mean what could it hurt besides my wallet. I'm curious how they work with the caster ability though with them being uniball.

do yourself a favor and get em.

Stock UCA's will limit droop either by hitting the coil (which they did on my 5100s with stock coils) or by the ball joint binding itself.

I only lifted 1.75in (at the 1.75in setting on my truck with 5100's) and while alignment was "in spec" it was at the low end of caster ~ 1.4-1.5* Got the SPC arms, not only did i get more suspension travel, no more harsh top out of coil contacting uca, but 2 more deg of caster... 3.4* now on either side WITH a nice -0.4* of camber for much better tire wear and the truck drives SOOO much better. Seriously, ignorance is bliss, but i cant believe i ran like i did for a year
