Didn't know you could do that, the adjusting on the truck part, probably just find a spanner... Do it right the first time.

I have a thread to show you. Lemme find it.

No sure. It'll be tight and may end up being a small tank without hanging down too low.

Possibly. Couldn't say for sure but looks like it would be

It's probably set to 2.5-3" right now.

That's cool. Gives me something to work with. I appreciate it much guys. Yeah, having the fuel cell off to the side totally throws off the geometry and dynamics of the vehicle. I'm going to look more into this. If you guys see anything else shoot it into my build. Thx.

Went through the process of re-using the crossmember I worked with @PSU Taco85 on creating, and had him weld it back on for my front bumper. We also extended my skid mount so it can mount to the new crossmember better.

A night shot, where you can clearly see where I scratched up the temp dial when attempting to remove amber coating.

When I talked to KING about mine they told me that they start with about 1.25" of threads showing at the top and that should give about 2" of lift over stock. I would leave them where they are until you have them on the truck to see how it sits. You may want to give the Driver Side a little more pre-load, maybe 1/4", to compensate for "Taco Lean" but I would wait to see on that as well.

Is Taco Lean a Tacoism for "lard butt"?

Probably a good idea, I need to call around and get pricing on alignments before I put them on. Or I guess let my friend do it in the highschool shop.

Kinda, "Taco Lean" is caused by the additional weight of the fuel tank on the driver's side.

If you are a "lard butt" that will only add to the issue...

You can get the alignment really close on your own. A string, ruler, plum bob, and the right wrenches is about all you need. There are videos on YouTube that can walk you through how to do it. I would still take it to a shop later on to double check my work.

Source that cover from an 00-02 4runner. They come with green stock so no amber coating.

Call King and ask them where they set it "out the box". That should get you on the right track. The rest you'll just have to install and adjust accordingly.
