This won't be much of a build but it seems like a good place to document stuff.

I've decided to expand my vehicle resume in to the world of the 2nd gen Taco. I'm sure a few of you are familiar with my 3rd gen 4Runner. Its becoming less and less like a daily and more of a dedicated wheeler so that brought me to getting a DD.

I picked up this Taco from a family member. It lived its life in New England as a contractors truck so its rough on the outside but just about every nut and bolt has been gone through as it just had the frame replacement done last month.

This thing doesn't get a whole lot of attention but there were a few things I wanted to get taken care of on the truck

First off, upper ball joints were toast. No sense in replacing stock parts with stock parts when better stuff is out there. And once you have seen 1st hand the quality and abuse that Total Chaos parts can take, it's hard to go elsewhere

The stock rusted steelies were not to nice to look at so I called up Dustin at FN Wheels and ordered some bronze 17 inch five stars and paired them up with a set of 275/70/17 BFG KO2's. Pretty happy with that combination. Plus the blue and bronze looks awesome.

And finally, I found out today that one of the front wheel bearings is about to commit suicide so I ordered a pair from @BamaToy1997 and will keep the one that's still good as a spare.

After that, I'm going to try to be done for awhile and just drive it.

    Yeah right

I never updated this thread but a couple things happened

@InSainFab built me a pretty sweet bed rack

I bolted an ARB RTT to it

Went to Moab for Easter Jeep.

Did a little bit of wheeling which made me realize how much better the 4Runner is at crawling

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the rig at the moment. Even with 32's i think it could use a regear so that may happen along with some more maintenance items. But overall, pretty pleased with it.
