Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…
Whatever you do, get what color / tranny / options you want. Don't "settle". You'll regret it.

I ordered a 2016 TRD OffRoad w/ a 6 speed manual tranny in Quicksand w/ tech package a few weeks ago. Should see it in mid to late May. Fingers crossed.

After a month of waiting I finally received my truck and first taco. Quicksand six speed manual TRD Off-road four door shortbed.

And it is the best color of them all.

Have your dealer double check. I'm not sure if it's a sold unit for another client but a tow truck just went by and had a QS DCTRD OR 4x4 on the back. It looked like it was on it's way to Nalley Toyota in Roswell, Ga. I purchased mine there and was happy with the service there.

When I was at Milton Martin I did see another QS dbl cad off-road there yesterday. Although, I do not know if it has been sold yet it nor if it is an auto or manual.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you know what color the rear bumper is going to be on your truck? I ordered a TRD Off Road DCLB. Some TRD ORs have chrome bumpers on here whereas others have the paint matched bumper. My build date is on the 21st, can I request that a paint matched bumper come on my truck?

You get color-coded with the Tech package. That's the only way you can get a color-coded rear bumper. The color-coded bumpers have sensors (back up).

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't have the tech package, that sucks.

If you ordered the additional tech package to include blind spot monitoring, you should get a painted bumper, if not you'll get a chrome bumper. If you want a painted bumper without tech, see about ordering unpainted replacement pieces as I'm not sure if you can paint the chrome plastic. The bumper is actually composite pieces so the chrome pieces can be swapped out.

Same here. A lot of guys plasti dip then. I did but wasn't crazy about how it looked. Gonna buy a set of the black corners which I believe are made for SR5 trim.

Chrome looks terrible on Quicksand, especially since all the trim is black

I have a couple of ideas rolling around in my head. Plastidip is one, I could also try to sandblast the chrome off so that they can be painted at the local body shop, or I can buy a real bumper that's not plastic.

Let us know if you find one that will work with the receiver hitch.

I did see a rear bumper at exp-one.com and it seems to work with the hitch.

So that is how you color match your headlights. Seems Easy and no hardware required.
