You have GOT to pull up to people at a light on a dark night and have that red lamp going. The effect would be great, as I'm sure would their reactions.

    I'm a lady, not a common strumpet.

Yeah, not the direction I'm going. Don't want to freak out the entire preschool when I pull up with Bennett every morning.

I gather San Francisco is a sophisticated town, and Scott's clientele make such suttle distinctions.

I didn't know my lights were red when I test drove my truck. After all that paperwork signing BS, I hop in my new ride, hit those map lights so I can dig a car charger out of my purse, red everywhere. At first I hated it, now its cool with me. Luckily the overhead is bright white.

Good for night vision, especially when camping. But I put a bright white in the driver for when I drop shit and need to find it. Or read a map.

On the 2nd Gen, when the driver drops stuff it goes between the seat and console landing wedged next to the seat slider track.

In other words turning the light on confirms that whatever you lost is not on the seats or the floor, and let's passerby guess what you are cursing while you contort your body to accommodate the bone breaking angle you've jammed your arm into its braille search pattern.

Well I've just come to terms with the fact that while I'm down there, I may as well give autofellatio a go. I mean, when you're given lemons, right?

On a more practical and less autoerogenous note, I should buy an extra little pen-sized magnetic pickup and keep it in the console.

F'n brilliant! This is why you're the highly paid suit. I used mine out of my garage tool box a few times to retrieve various shtuffs ... never occurred to me to just put a spare in the frickin' truck.

It took these past few posts to catalyze my massive mental Knievel-like mental leap on that. Next time at Autozone checkout, I hope I remember :homer:
