4x2 offroad, not so much.

I get what you're saying in terms to sales numbers and commercials, I'm just saying that in regards to the theory and spirit of the package, it doesn't make sense.

 

4x2 Offroad's are really popular here in Southern California, we have a ton of trails that are 4x2 friendly if they are equipped properly, and the locking differential makes a 4x2 very capable on the dry desert trails we have.

 

I'd say it's popular here because they're cheaper and you can LOOK like you offroad. Which is really what most of this state is concerned about.

 

Yeah that's probably the biggest reason, I was just going off my own experience. I got hooked on offroading when I had my first gen TRD Prerunner years ago, of course that led me to my current 4x4.

 

I myself need 4x4 but I think it would be cool and pretty useful for an "off-road" prerunner to have some sort of low range gear. Something comparable to 4lo but while still being 2wd. I think it'll come in handy on the trails, boat ramp, back up a trailer...

 

GOD.... we got one bro in here who thinks hes the wheeler all American, but I don't see him in stadium super trucks or winning the Baja 2000.... guess hes just a pro anyway...

 

I don't even know what we're supposed to be fighting about anymore...
