I'm thinking about buying one of these for my truck. Just wondering if anyone else has one. Looking for feedback on it. I like it because it is a hard cover but it has a softcover over it for a cleaner look without hinges showing. Also, the material will look better. The other tonneau that I have been looking at is the Tonno Pro Hard Fold. Same deal hard with soft over the top. Any feedback is appreciated.

I had an Advantage Torzo top trifold for 7 years.

I really don't know what the difference is between the Hardhat and just the regular torzo top. I don't know the price difference is either.

The regular torzo top I had was GREAT!! I loved it!! Unfortunately, after 7 years of being exposed to the outdoors 24/7, the vinyl started to crack and get brittle/a couple holes developed. I kept it clean and used vinyl protectants over the years. The frame structure was awesome and I have no complaints.

The Hardhat? Unless it has a better vinyl with a longer lasting warranty..., I can't imagine the frame is any better than the standard torzo top. You have to weigh your options.

I've always loved the vinyl tops and the trifold was awesome. The next time.., I'm looking for a trifold hard cover ( that'll never crack and get brittle). I actually bought a replacement vinyl for $100 ( from Advantage) and it was a Bitch to try and put on. I couldn't do it.., gave the top/frame away to a neighbor!

The Premium top has canvas like a convertible top has rather than vinyl. I would think it would last longer than the vinyl. Interesting though. My Colorado has a Truxedo soft top roll-up with velcro on it. I put it on in 2006. The vinyl is just now beginning to break down. No cracking though. The biggest problem I had was with the glue on the velcro coming loose from the frame.

Hardhat is the trifold hard top cover. It has a soft cover over the top so that it looks cleaner. No hinges show.

I currently have the Tonnopro Tri-fold hard cover. Its been great so far. I'm not a big fan of the mounting brackets they supply for the slide system. I'm about to remove them and mount it directly to the the slide rail itself. It feels sturdy and a little on the heavy side. No noticeable hits on gas mileage, still getting 18-19 depending on driving habits. I did notice the rear of the truck sits down a little lower than stock. needs a 1.5" spacer instead of 2" to make it level. I will also add the instructions leave a lot to be desired, but they do provide weather stripping to accommodate the difference in bed rail height.

I actually just installed the Advantage Hardhat Premier on my 2016 Tacoma TRD OR. I think the canvas fabric looks totally awesome and I like the hardtop feel rather than just fabric or vinyl. Of course it's not meant to carry a lot of weight but sturdy enough to hold a couple bags while you load the truck. The required brackets for the Tacoma rails didn't come in the box so I had to call and ask for them - they arrived separately. I also noticed a tiny amount of water in the bed after some strong rain but some of that is from the truck bed itself (slight daylight coming through the front top corner of the bed) and also a slight gap in the front corners of the cover. I plan to add some strips of foam to those areas to help seal it.

Otherwise I think it looks great. It is a little pricier than other covers but I'm very happy with it. Time will tell regarding the longevity of the premier fabric but it now comes with a "lifetime" warranty (as long as they don't claim it's supposed to "wear" after a number of years like the stories regarding the vinyl after X number of years....) I think this convertible/canvas fabric will hold up better the vinyl.

Yea. I never wrote a review for it but this tonneau is great. It's not cheap but its definitely worth it. Its well built and looks good. No complaints from me as of yet.
