we got some small hail. Areas to the east got it so much worse. The fiancée had my truck and was unable to move it to cover before the storm. So there are dozens of small dents in the roof. I tried to take pictures but they are so small that they don't show on camera. if you run your hand along you can feel them. Does anyone have experience with this? I have seen some with major damage but nothing small like this. I an trying to figure out if it is worth putting in a claim. I all ready no im not going to fix it.

I had a car that was about a year old when it got some minor hail damage that I ended up taking to a dent popper. I just paid it out of pocket. I don't remember it being too expensive. Well worth it. There ended up only being one spot near a door that they couldn't repair. When I traded it in for my Tacoma pretty sure the dealer had no idea there was hail damage.

Heck yes put in a claim. Hail damage is worth big money in insurance land. My brother's then fiance bought an older used car and it got hailed out about a month later. The insurance sent her a check for what she paid for the car and I think she still has it. On a fix it note I have heard that you can do it with dry ice, not sure about the process though.

Last year in my town in Massachusetts there was a small hail storm. My sisters Honda Accord sustained a lot of damage and the insurance paid out about $4,500 to get it fixed....I don't remember if there was a deductible or not. If it's enough to bother you I would contact your insurance because why not? It shouldn't cost you anything to have them give you a quote for the damage

    What's your deductible?

Body repairs cost a fortune. If you have full coverage you can make a claim, have the vehicle inspected, and ask the insurance company to pay you the repair costs directly. They'll cover all of it except your deductible. Whether you fix it or not is up to you. You have LOST value in your vehicle. That's what insurance is for.

Don't just ignore it or you'll lose all that money when you sell the truck some day - and you can't make a claim years later. I had a 2005 Camry SE get hammered by golf ball sized hail. I decided to fix it. Insurance paid my dealer something like $8,300.00 to repair it.

Deductible is $500. As much as I would like a new one. Because of the previous rear end accident no dealer will give me a decent trade. At the time nada and kbb trade was between 12-14 no one would offer more then 6. It was repaired and you can not tell its been in an accident.

find a paintless dent guy and get a quote. If over $500 file claim and then decide to fix or not. Comprehensive claims do not raise your rates and may not even count against your rebate for being claim free
