    Got a misfire code on my way home from work yesterday (P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire). Pulled the plugs and replaced them as they looked about shot but had to order the new wires. Noticed this on my cylinder 6 plug wire boot...

    Looks like a scorch mark. Any idea what could have caused that? I have OEM wires coming in tomorrow to replace the whole shabang, just curious to what may have happened to have it do this. On another note, yall weren't lying when I read that it feels like something is about to fall off the truck when this code fires! Thought shit was going to start falling off the truck, kept looking in the rear view!

    there you problem, spark is coming out of the boot and grounding itself to the spark plug tube.

    Ahh okay I see what you mean. Figured it wasn't a good thing... New wires/boots will be here today or tomorrow so hopefully that resolves the issue. Thanks @00yotasr5

    np, mine was different. I had a hairline crack on my park plug.
