I was thinking about replacing my upper/lower ball joints. Should I change the upper and lower control arms in the meantime, or is it not as necessary or dangerous as these ball joints snapping and rolling your truck on the highway at 65-70 the? Also what brand would you guys go with? Moog any good? Thanks.

Not necessary to change uca's (unless you wanna upgrade go to uniball and avoid the pain in the ass of swapping upper ball joints, I have camburgs), the prices for OEM upper ball joints aren't much more than moog, and I had moogs that had a weird boot so I returned them, I suggest OEM.

Lower control arms are worth replacing when the inner bushings by the alignment cams get sloppy as the difficulty of swapping the bushings justifys just buying new lca's. Moogs are good for lower ball joints but I think the OEM boots last longer

Thank you! So if I was to go the camburg route they come with the ball joints essentially right? $700 for ucas/joints doesn't seem to bad for the quality. I assume the same would go for the lcas?

You can't get Camburg LCA's unless you go with their long travel kit which is $5500! You can only get the UCA's for around $700 like you said. I've tried to get just the UCA's & LCA's but Carlos @camburg said the only way to get both is to get the long travel kit. I like mine a lot!
