FYI, I have lost approx 1-1.5 MPG after switching from my stock BFG Rugged Trails (265/70/16) to the Cooper AT3's (265/75/16) P-Rated. This is after 4 fill-ups with the new tires. Gone from 19.5mpg to 18-18.5mpg.

Nothing else has been changed on my truck, all stock suspension.

Not really complaining, more of an FYI if anyone was curious as to MPG loss going to a bigger tire. The bigger tires look much better, and quality of the AT3's compared to the stock tires is far better.

Hmm. Just bought some AT3s in 285/70r17 (p metric) on Monday. Had a change of heart and swapped for 275/70r17 (c load) so I didn't have to deal with trimming (as much) etc. The two tires are comparable in weight and should have comparable rotational inertia with perhaps a little less rolling friction on the the narrower tire. In exchange for downsizing I get a little more tread depth and a little tougher sidewall.

Anyway, I expected to lose about 2 mpg but it sounds like maybe a bit more based on your numbers.
