    Yep, I know, but for me those louvers would be like scoops for mud and dirt when I drag it on the trails.

    Instead of louvers, why not drill a bunch of holes with a hole saw; It would stay cool and wouldn't affect off-road worthyness...

    What about using expanded metal grate/mesh to cover the cat and some pipe, then tack welding it to the frame???
