Did a BAMF kit last weekend along with some air bumps, turned out pretty nice.

Anyone know of a brake shop that can turn slotted/drilled rotors? East County preferably, but any other suggestions accepted. Called the 'mainstream' shops (Oreilly, Pep Boys, Midas) and they can not do it.

Really, thats odd, I have had slotted rotors turned at my local Oreilleys a couple years back. Go to a small independent shop I bet they will do it, just have to know how to set up the cutter properly..

Have fun. Nice views up there. Have you visited the WWII bunkers?

Plane crash site of Reba McIntyre crew - this one is tough to spot, but you can still spot debris on the ground. These pics were from my 2nd trip about a year after I found the site. Originally, there was a faded pic on the cross of, I presume, members of the crew. Today, cross is just deteriorating wood on the ground. Larger debris is no longer there. Site is on east side of truck trail, about 1/8th mile N of Doghouse Junction, at a sharp curve.

Saw this while driving around otay truck trail earlier today. No one around the truck and no blood, so whoever was in it is probably fine...

On my way home a cop was there and a tow truck on it's way up to retrieve that poor taco. Also saw a couple border jumpers getting busted by BP, over by those bunkers pictured a few posts up with the KLR. Interesting trip!

Thanks. Got up too late Sat to call around. Found three local shops I'm gonna call this week: Superstition Motors, Bonds Automotive, and East County Alignment.

There's a segment of a pole line road above where they fell off, from what i could tell by where the trail of parts and divots started they maybe were trying to see how fast they could go and lost control of it when trying to slow down for the turn that goes down to the gravel road. it looked like the truck rolled a couple times.

This picture gives a different perspective, the truck is roughly in the center of the photo.

When my Tacoma was sideswiped by a motor home when it was almost new my insurance recommended Caliber and they were excellent.... this was the Caliber in Oceanside in my case. By comparison my wife's Corolla was rear ended on 78 and she had Toyota Carlsbad Collision fix her's and that was a very bad experience.

Took the kids out to Borrego yesterday did some washes, hiked and went out to check out the sculptures. Awesome day with perfect temps. Ended up helping a couple pull their sedan out of the sand that was axel deep by one of them. Hate being a prerunner and pulling up like I am just gonna yank them right out! Took a little bit of digging and a couple of good pulls but got them out without getting myself dug in. Lol...4x4 envy.
