Ah, gotcha. I'm going to take a welding class as an elective at some point while I'm in school and I am super pumped for it

I took an intro class and in the fall ill be taking an "advanced" welding specific class. I mostly just play around in my free time and that has taught me a lot, a couple buddies work at a local fab shop and they have taught me stuff too.

I found some angle iron in the shop and used that in an X on the back of the front plate

That looks great Troy. Been wanting to relocate the axle on my truck ever since I threw the Dakar's on.

Where did you get the axle plate and did you have to purchase or modify anything else? I haven't looked into it recently but I recall reading something about the u bolts having to be bolted down at an angle and something with the bump stops needing to be modified. Was thinking drilling a new center pin hole through the leaf springs would work too.

I got these, standard 2" plates.

Didn't have to modify anything, just threw them in. Ive heard that drilling holes in the leaf pack makes it weaker but I'm not sure. Relocation plates were easy enough.
