'13 Tacoma still under warranty went for 30K service. Unable to align because of seized lower control arms. Because I had it lifted only 3 months ago they won't cover it under warranty.
    Anybody have insight or suggestions?
Is this really because of the lift?

Tell the dealer to prove the lift caused them to seize. It's the design of the part leading itself to this type of issue. Magnuson moss says they have to prove it, the burden is on the dealer

that does not fly on lifted trucks. you modify angles beyond specification

it would fly if you replaced everything with the exact same size of part with
some other manufacturers part...springs, shocks...etc...and kept OEM angles
you get warranty on anything OEM because you did not change load angles
    and stresses

but when you expect OEM parts to work and be warrantied with changed lift and angles
therefore different side loads, stresses, and whatnot, u r pissing in the wind.

These are correct. The Magnuson Moss act (warranty act) states that the manufacturer or dealer must prove that the aftermarket part directly caused the issue. The dealer cant just say because you have a lift, that the entire suspension is not warrantable, regardless of angles.

Interesting. I'd like to see how this ends up.

INCORRECT how frickin simple is it to understand

replace OEM parts with like parts, warranty applies. Like parts means it was made to copy OEM function and dimensions

replace OEM parts with something else that introduces all new loading and stresses, NO does not hold up in court, period.

OP needs to put all OEM back on, undo lift, and take it in like that is he wants it fixed, OR the
dealer will juts do it for free to be a 'nice guy'

and what does 'siezed lower control arm' mean anyway ? the arm itself
is seized ? rough ride then ? or you mean the cams ? well those cams take
a lot more stress if you lift the truck.

go back to stock hide the fact you ever lifted it throw on OEM sized wheels and tires,
then you get your warranty to fix it

Magnuson Moss would treat angles and dimension changes or lift modifications as an INCORRECT REPAIR and that is NOT COVERED.

But if you get all new MOOG and Federal Mogul parts (or whatever maker) to replace OEM with OEM-like parts, all OEM parts related to that that would be covered,

Well, all that stuff sure does sound official so I'll take it for truth. My dealership has worked on my truck exclusively since I got it and I've never had any issues like that so I guess I'm just lucky.

OP, time for some extended LCA's for long travel.

If I were Toyota, I sure wouldn't want to warranty suspension parts if someone lifted their truck.

The dealer just notified me they ARE going to honor the warranty & replace lower control arms & centrics.
The lift didn't involve any manipulation of the LCA's. Interestingly the dealership has tacomas on the lot with the same lift I had installed.
Just in time too, warranty over end of May.
    Thanks all for your guidance.

Everybody always throws up the Magnuson Moss Act, but so far as I know, unless you're suing the dealer over their warranty denial then it really doesn't apply to begin with.
