Ok so the 17th it is. I say we meet at Dunkins

    1452 Broncos Hwy
    Harrisville, RI 02858

its about 10 min from the trails. I think 12 noon is a good time. Does that work for everyone else?

12 is good for me. I'm glad there is a place to go wheeling that's less than an hour drive.

It will be fine, you may get some pin striping depending on what route you take though. Any of the rock climb areas are avoidable if you don't want to do them.

You can still do the rock climbs unless they've got really washed out. Just have to take it slow. Burr sliders are definitely nice.

Has anyone ever driven on East Beach in southern Rhode Island? Do you really need all the mandatory equipment? I mean, does someone at the entrance check for it?

    .

They (DEM) will check and fine you if you don't have the equipment. My step-father lives down there. I live about 20 mins away

I went to check it out last night just for kicks. Charlestown is a very nice area, my girlfriend lives in Narraganset it's only a 25 minute ride. I was thinking about getting the pass for $200. It's only $50 more than the cape cod shoreline pass and I'd be using it more because I'm in Rhode Island almost every weekend. Are you familiar with the beach? Is it just to drive on or can people park on the beach and swim for the day?

You can park and swim if you want. No fires, but you can have chairs and blankets. There are a lot of surf fishing guys, so be careful if you are in the water or laying on the sand. Guess how I know??

Haha. So I ended up getting the weekend pass, smart move by me. Turns out you can't drive on the beach until after September 15th. I was only able to drive on the dunes. Funny how they don't tell you that until after you cut them a check for the pass
