I missed this... I use to, worked in a paint ball shop 07-09, played for their D4 (I think...) team, dated the one owner of the shop that entire time too. We broke up, I hung up my marker for good. Wanted nothing to do with it after the break up, still have the marker, tried to sell it, kid bought it in Tx, ran CO2 through it and destroyed it, got Daddy involved and I had to take it back and give the money back. Can't get it fixed now because I don't even know what board to get for it. I couldn't even tell you what was in it, because it was a trial thing, the company gave my ex two new boards at the time to try that were not even on the market, we were testing them. Great board. Well.. was..

It's ok Liz. I know you've been off the site for a while.
I never messed with electronic equipment. Most guys I play with that have electronic setups usually have problems and spend half the day on the bench trying to figure it out. Then again, most guys I play with are cheap bastards. Except for my friend's son, who is 15 and uses dads money to buy everything. Gets the best shit he can and stays in the back and never moves forward. Claims that he never gets hit during a game. It's easy to not get hit if you're out of range. I play with an A-5. Simple, effective and no bells or whistles. Not much playing lately cuz my knees are getting old.

Ah, I hated working on those A-5's, if you ever look to upgrade, go with BT's, They are amazing, so much simpler to work on, and clean and maintain. Best thing about those? They are truer Tippmans then Tipmanns themselves. I had a Invert Mini, one of a kind, ex did a lot of work to it, had some modifications that weren't even possible at the time, though I'm sure all that has changed. I played a lot of Xball and Speed ball, Woods ball was just to easy to screw with everyone. Guys I was friends with would ask me to go play woods with them, and get pissed when I destroyed them, or was polite enough to just tap them on the head and let them know they were either done or getting shot close range.

Knocked out my to-do list at work and went to town on the rust on those sliders. Got about as much as I could with the freaking beast. Look a lot better. Debating getting them sand blasted or just saying F it, once they are welded on going over them with a bed liner spray.

No idea, haven't even looked into it yet, came to mind because of the space that I couldn't get into with the grinder.. I would think a textured bed spray would hide the difference between paint and bare metal where I took the rust off

I think it would too. You will prep it first, right?
Have you tried a wire wheel to get those little nooks?

That's what I was using.. we only have a big one here at work, only one I have access to. And no smaller wheels then a 4" diameter

If it's only a small area I'd say get in there and do it by hand. From the pictures it looks like surface rust so it should be easy to remove with some 80 or 120 grit. The textured Bedliner will hide the paint transitions well, but still try to feather your edges as best you can.

Its a few spots on the cross bars, I just couldn't get to with the wheel. I think I've got some 80 sitting at home some where, if not I'll grab some this weekend and give it a go.

You'll be fine. If anything, you could try a red scotch brite pad first, but I'd recommend the 80 to make your work easier.

Cool. I use a little wheel attached to a cordless drill for those little spots. Sounds like you have it down.

After sanding the wheels on my last car I used a chemical rust remover/inhibitor before respraying them black. Worked like a charm and they stayed rust free for another 6 years.
