    Welcome to TW.

Lots of information here, so try to avoid putting your foot in your mouth.

Age and life experience mean little here compared to written word. No justification for idiocy.

Second year they came out. I think 2001. Had some wheel bearing problems (read where they got a bad batch), throttle body replaced and oxygen sensors. Got a refund later on O2 sensors. Been a good truck. Liked the size of it better than the later/newer Tundra's. Anyway like someone said, I'm an old ebeneezer codsqueezer from LA (lower Alabama) just retired after 46 years at the Power Company and trying to cop what will probably be my "croak" truck. Live in a condo on the beach, need to put some bikes in a full bed occasionally and need secure cover to keep extra sails when I use/pull small sailboat. And by gosh we did win the last America's Cup with a great engineered winged cat with foils so evidently I'm as full of it as a Toyota dealer.

Well, his former roommate at Auburn who got his Masters at M.I.T. was one of the ones that convinced him he would be better served getting an MBA. That coupled with the fact it would have required a further committment to the Navy convinced him. It appears engineers might not be fully appreciated as much as those that are chosen to be in charge of engineers. Number of direct reports trumps true engineering expertise. Shouldn't be that way. A Company should ask the people closest to the process rather than those "people persons" that are in charge of the true engineers. You are right....this forum is a wealth of information. Should be required reading for Toyota employees or at least the crux of the information should be presented to the Dealerships etc.
And in reply to the comment, "Oh, _____", .........talk about somebody you know.
