Just installed firestick 4' and the swr reads in the red on every channel.about 3.5. Screw all the way up or all the way down doesn't change the swr at all. Any ideas?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Still having issues? Is the ground to the mount solid? Any shorts to the coax?

Don't try and tune in the garage if you are.

    Check Ground.

You might try running a dedicated ground from your truck bed to the neg on the battery,

That mounting location, with the antenna running close to all that metal, is less than ideal. And yes make sure you have a solid ground connection to the chassis.

Long ground is not a good ground, additionally, the bed itself is a fiberglass composite material that doesn't conduct electricity.

He's got a first gen, so composite doesn't apply. Still not the best idea though.

Agree, didn't think of the length but he could try that to see if helps, then make sure the ground part of the bracket is directly grounded to the frame

    Oh.

I'd bet the points the bed meets the frame are painted.

OP How large is the hole on the mount? Could you be grounding the antenna on it on accident?

You could also run a fat grounding wire directly from the mount to the frame. Just drill a hole in the bed and throw a grommet in it.
