Rebates right now on Goodyears are $50 & $40 for 4 plus $25/tire for ordering online. This comes to almost $50/tire. On Coopers (which I want) the rebate is $40 for 4 or $10/tire. Is Discount getting some special rebate for pushing Goodyears or are the Goodyears over priced to start with? I hate rebates but seems like something you have to live with these days when buying tires.

    Dunno 'bout your specific question.

Shopping for me, price is a 'factor', but it only becomes the deciding factor if it's a real out-lier or if the choices are 'all things equal' other than price.

So pick what you want (Coopers?) and shop for price on that brand/model/size and ignore the others?

Just be careful with deep discounted tires, particularly if they are discontinued models. You'll want to vendor to confirm the build date. Buying tires already two years old isn't a great idea, and lots of times thats the bargain shelf.

Not talking bargain shelf here. Comparing Duratracs to STMaxx. Noticed the Cooper rebates are now $70.

Yes I think the Cooper Spring event $70 visa ended April 15th?
I jumped on the thread here that had Ebay $100 sale with Discount Tire that included $70 rebate and bought the AT3s.
That thread helped me save money for once on here lol....
