He blamed toyota. Toyota is responsible for their dealers as well as their production and mfg. employees

The CVT in my Accord wasn't bad. Only reason I got rid of it was because I didn't like having a car.

While that is correct, not all Toyota vehicles have problems. My wife has a RAV4 and no problems whatsoever with it. We have a Tundra at work and no problems with it. I understand Toyota as a whole should take responsibility for the low fluids, especially since they decided to delete the dipstick, however, if corporate sent a notice to the line supervisors to account for this and the message never made it to the line, that is not the line workers fault, but yes, it still is Toyotas fault. I understand the feeling the OP has currently as well as that feeling he is looking to get back. I am comfortable letting my wife travel in her RAV4, however I have not yet been comfortable enough to pull the trigger on a new Tacoma, so I have both feelings. I hope that I can have the same feeling so I can get a Tacoma soon, but it may be 2018, who knows, however, I have not given up on Toyota as a whole.

The "new" 6-speed is a piece of trash. Its designed for the 4 cylinder. Toyota didn't use the A760 from the 4.6L Tundra like they should have and all you die hard fanboys thinks it's "fine".

The 2nd gen owners are laughing at you and enjoying their old and outdated transmission.

The 1st gen 4 speed and 2nd gen 5-speed were both used with higher hp and torque motors than this 6-speed turd. That's just sad.

My wife's Honda Insight has a CVT and has seven simulated gears that you can shift with paddle shifters in sport mode. It's the best of both worlds.
