I see fine with the tint. There's very few roads in my commute that have poor lit roads. In that instance cracked Windows it is :). South Florida makes for window open weather year round haha

In Florida almost all the cars on the road are tinted. I believe the legal is 28%. That being said. I've been doing 5% since 2000 and never once had an issue. On my parents cars we went with 20% and they've been good too. I see no issues with yours. Heck there's guys here that rent cars for a monh and they get the Windows tinted from the outside for 40$ just so it's easier to peel off at the rental return lol

I also like my truck more and more each day (even though it's only been 11 days - and 500 miles). The trans works just fine for me, my dealership has been great to me thus far (helps that I work at a dealership with a Toyota store), the interior and exterior styling is handsome, it's a beast off road, and the tech features are really nice. I'm very impressed and very happy.

(And this coming from someone who's owned BMWs since 2009 to present day, and works at a BMW dealer)

No. I came from sedans. Honda SI & Camry. Only trucks I've ever owned before were a 3500 Chevy and my 07 F450

I wish we could get our windows tinted our here in Los Angeles, it's only legal if your car came with window tint from factory (you're allowed to tint your back windows though if you want, just not the front ones). I know this for a fact because I got mine tinted all the way around on my last car and got popped for it, granted it took 3 years before a cop finally decided to ticket me for it. It wasn't heavy tint either, you could still see me through the front windows.

Just sucks because of the heat and blazing sunlight we have especially in the summer, that window tint did a great job keeping my car nice and cool and the sun from bugging me. I might do it again on my Tacoma, after all it took them a few years to get me for it and it was only a $20 fix-it-ticket lol. I had to go to court though to prove that I got it removed which was a royal pain

They were the most advanced engine of their time when they came out but had some issues. Is yours stock or did you have it bullet-proofed?

To be honest. Every 5k 15w40 motor craft oil and filter. Every 10k fuel filters. Just last week I replaced outter tie rods steering box and pitman arm. And one set of injectors. Keep in mind I tow cars with it as its a repo truck. Original tranny crapped out at 175k

Nice I came from an Si to the Tacoma 6 speed. Talk about way different gear ratios though. 35 mph was 4th gear in my 9th gen Si and 35 is still 2nd gear in the Tacoma (maybe 3rd if cruising)

I too love my truck. Have 2400 miles and no known issues. Yes, I'm still getting use to the 6 speed coming from a (4 speed 2010 Taco). It does shift a lot but it's from the additional 2 speeds.

I also checked the zerks and they only took one to one and a haft pumps so I'm satisfied they were filled properly. When I get to my 5k service, I'll asked them to check the ATF for piece of mind.

$5, you just earned yourself another buck. Nearly 8K and cruising along fine.

By 6 speed you mean manual? Both auto and manual have 6 cogs.

I believe he was comparing the ratios on the taco MT vs. the Si Civic which is also 6mt :)

If I had a dollar for every 2nd gen owner who comes into these threads and talks crap or trolls I'd have enough to keep my f150 and buy a new Tacoma
