Looking through all the booklets and paperwork I got with the purchase of my new Tacoma, I find no reference to ToyotaCare, the two year "free service" benefit. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was included, but, again, I find no reference. Where might I find the info?
    Thanks!

I got something in the mail a few weeks after purchase. It was a cardboard mailer with information about whats included with a little card to put in the glove box. Dealer really played up the free ToyotaCare during purchase process, but surprisingly didn't push the optional extended ToyotaCare packages.

Can somebody do the math for me to show how Toyota Care for a few extra years is worth it? By my estimate if you aren't putting well over 12k miles a year on your truck, paying more than $1000 for a 3 year extended Mx package is a total waste of money??? A few Oil changes just don't add up that fast.

I got suckered into it. I do put 17-20k a year on my truck though, so peace of mind I guess.

EDIT: Nevermind. This is about Toyota Care, I read it as "extended warranty"

they "should" change it whenever you want. They're YOUR free oil changes under the 2/25
toyata care program. I had mine done @ 6 months, I only had 3500 miles on it but they
said, we don't care, use em all in the first year if you want.

Yes you can do it that way but you'll only get 2 actual oil changes.

When I bought my Tacoma the dealership gave me a card with my VIN on it and directions to their website to register. I went to register and at the end they told me that my membership ends in 5 years

One can never have too many light bars.
Before you pay for any extra Toyota care package check to see what it actually includes. It follows the recommended maintenance requirements which technically is only a spark plug change at 30K miles. I don't think it includes differential oil changes which "should" be done at 30K.

I get free oil changes for life. Not from Toyotacare but from the dealership I bought it from. They know how to do business!

Smart move by the dealer. They comp you on the cheap service with hopes that you will take it to them for the major services. I bet it works well for them too. I know I would be more willing to give a service department my business on a large repair if they have been giving me free services for a few years.

Oh absolutely. My salesperson even gave me his personal cell number and told me to call him if there was ANYTHING I was unsure of or concerned about with my truck. He's already called me once since I bought it to see how I'm enjoying it.
