Is it possible to set the cruise control to be "on" by default. Currently, every time I shut the truck down, it turns off. So I have to turn it on and then set it every time.

This may be a petty thing, but i drive a lot of long distances and it is a bit of a pain since my last vehicle, it just stayed on.

You could probably rewire it, but you'll get used to bumping the "on" button after a while. I had to adjust to it because my last vehicle had a button that would always be on.

It will turn off every time you shut the truck off. Can't change that without some sort of warranty voiding "engineering". Not sure what the big deal is on this one. Push the little button and choose your set point.

Same deal with those wanting the ECT button always on. Just convenience. I never use ECT but use cruise pretty much every time i get in my truck. Other vehicles I've had the C will stay enabled even after the vehicle is restarted which is nice.

Guess I never had any vehicle that would do that.

It's not a big deal...To some, the grill isn't a big deal. To others, the stickers in the stamped tailgate aren't a big deal...yet i see countless threads about that. 1 dodge, 4 Honda's, a Chevy and 2 Tacomas and this is the first vehicle I've owned that it wouldn't stay on if I turn it on.

No big deal, but gosh if it wouldn't just brighten my day right up.

My 2003 Honda Goldwing motorcycle does that... the cruise button is always on.... I cruise to the Hwy and hit "set"... good for the rest of the trip..

I know what you're saying... One more button to push every day...(cruise on/off).. things are really going backwards, it seems.

Why can't they make a vehicle that knows what "we" want to do, and just do it when we want..?? Maybe in a few years..??
