    That's a great looking truck! ;)

    The hood struts work great. I have no idea why Toyota didn't do this from the factory. But I guess that's why we have an aftermarket! The ones that Redline Tuning designed easily lift the hood by themselves once you lift the hood a few inches, and then towards the top of the motion they are self dampened and slow the lift down. It's a real cool action to watch :)

    The hood struts are really awesome, and should be the first mod done to any new Tacoma!

    Big thanks to Redline Tuning for making such a great product!

    Can you post installation instructions? I would like to know what kind of rivet gun and rivet size I need, Also what is the diameter of the drill bit and how deep can it go on the hood?

    Installation instructions are currently being completed. The rivets are included in the system, any rivet gun will work here is one on Amazon : http://amzn.com/B000BPO58W . You will need a 3/16" drill bit.

    How high do these open the hood compared to the stock prop-rod? Same, a bit more or ??. Personally I'd like it to open as far as possible w/in the limits of the hinges and being able to grab and lower it.

    Seems to be exactly the same as far as I can tell. When installed I was just able to lift it off of the factory prop.

    We designed the system to raise the hood to the same level as the stock prop rod. There is not enough stroke in the gas spring to raise the hood any higher.
